Zuania Yamila Figueroa Berríos, twenty-seven, artistically known as “MILA”, is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter, graduated from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. Since her adolescence and accompanied by her guitar, she has created a handful of songs expressing poetry in her lyrics. The social theme, folklore, love, heartbreak, their experiences and everyday realities converge with genres such as Latin American folklore, "pop", new trova and others, creating a unique and organic style. Mila is defined as an open book where on each page the public can feel identified.

Mila was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and from a very young age had contact with music, but it was not until she was thirteen that she started with guitar and choir classes at the preparatory school of the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico and then continued her university studies. in said institution, where he graduated from a mayor in music education. During that course of studies, Mila never stopped writing songs and idealizing her project as a singer-songwriter.

However, it wasn't until 2018 that he decided to bring his songs to life. He started with the producer Estuardo Linde, with whom he produced his first two singles: “Fuimos” and “Relajate”, then collaborated with composer Johanny Navarro with whom he produced his third single; “Despierta”, inspired by the protests of July 2019 in Puerto Rico and by the end of 2019, Mila begins to work with producer Rafa Rivera, who is currently his producer and arranger. With Rafa Rivera, he has produced his last two singles: “Libre”, which came out as a tribute to Julia de Burgos and where together with Nicole Yessira, also a singer-songwriter, she seeks to raise her voice against gender violence, and “Canción sin puerto”, which has the collaboration of Andrea Cruz, also a songwriter. Mila continues in the process of producing her music and hopes at some point to be able to release her first album.
